Isn’t the McKee’s Coating offering what you’re asking for?

Yeah pretty much, or CanCoat-type products like Budget mentioned. Never said I was being original, I'd just like to see more affordable one-year products released. And products like Essence.

I'd also take fk1000p made into a WOWA. Now THAT would be something.

I don't own that car anymore but it was black Subie paint too, I died on the inside. It's the Uber mentality, not many people own a car and if they do it's a beater. Not to derail my own thread...

I’d like to see more Ech2o competitors, particularly from PBMG or McKee’s. WW with a hint of SiO2 as I always get slightly better cleaning results from WWs that contain gloss enhancers over leave-nothing-behind N-914 types.

I’m shocked this hasn’t happened yet, but welcome my wallet for future offerings.

If I'm going to reapply yearly the coating need to be $30 or less IMO. It also shouldn't require a booster, have acceptable slickness, and stand up to water spots just fine on it's own. Think how Gloss Coat was originally marketed.

My idea is you market a "synergistic" AIO + coating lite combo that can affordably be done on a yearly basis. I think this would be the ideal daily driver combo. The reality for me is most vehicles I detail could really use a very light polish once a year. Here in the Midwest *something* always seems to happen over the course of the year whether it's someone brushing up against the door in the city, weird fallout from construction, marring from a snow brush, or new girl putting her Starbucks on the roof. It just gives me peace of mind I can take care of things in the spring without ruining my $300, multi-layer coating I put on a year ago. It also eliminates the struggle of trying to chemically revive a coating that may or may not have made it through a brutal winter.

What I'd like to see is your basic spring detail where you use your "ceramic" or "primer" AIO (choose whatever cool marketing term you want) just as you would any other like HD Speed or D166. Then you wipe off the residue, put down a layer of an easy to use coating and let it cure for a few days. After that all you do is literally wash and dry the car until the next spring.

What do you all think? What price would you need to see this combo at to do it yearly?

I mean we already have something close to what you are asking with Gyeon Primer and Gyeon CanCoan. Pick both up during a sale. Or use CanCoat with any primer polish (Essence, Slick Back. etc..). Although Gyeon Primer and Shine Supply Slick Back don't have fillers like Essence. Gyeon Primer and CanCoat has the potential to last a year with little maintenance. Perhaps the new Mothers Ceramic will fit in here as well over whatever primer polish as Forrest has mentioned a 7 month claim from their product.

Hear good things bout tac systems moonlight as a stand alone (touts 9 mo protection) 49.99 and will get multiple coats out of one bottle. Also dr Beasley’s plasma coat. Goes on like a wax, no harmful chemicals. 39.99 on AG and got it during 25%off so 29.99. Right now their also throwing in the advance gloss maintenance spray for free so brings price to like $15 dollars per item. Haven’t seen any long term reviews but I here good things about their matte products. I bought it cuz I can’t pass up good deals but have nothing to put it on What I want to see in 2019#What I want to see in 2019

Britemax Virtue SiO2 High Gloss Primer Polish

Britemax Remax SiO2 Hydrophobic Spray Sealant 128 oz.

Could work good as a combo. Linked the gallon of Remax as it's seems to be very economical if you use a lot of it. With that price it would work great as a drying aid too. And you have a hydrophobic and self cleaning ability until a light polishing is needed again. Then out comes the Britemax Virtue SiO2 High Gloss Primer Polish and saves the day LOL.

Gyeon Primer in the spring topped with CanCoat and another coat of CanCoat in the fall. And I think you will be set. There is other combos like this from other brands with great durability when applyied over their ceramic AIO.

That's interesting, instead of AIO primer + coating, just do AIO primer + Si02 spray. I bet that gallon would last years. Now you have nearly unlimited combinations with all the wowa/toppers out there.

Cancoat is going on my list to try in '19. No problems topping it up without a polish? I always thought coatings required removing the old layer before applying the new.

A really great combo is Essence topped with IGL Ecocoat Premier. I think everyone is scared off by Premier’s high price but when you consider it lasts 12Xs longer than other SiO2 toppers it’s actually cheap. Got this tip from Justin. Got to give credit where credit is due.

Just a tip: IGL Ecocoat Premier is only for people that don’t want to “play” with their paint. It lasts so long you start hoping it will wear off so you can put something else on. No kidding.

Oh no, I bought a bottle of IGL Premier and I'm one of the biggest offenders of "playing" with products, what do i do, LOL. I plan on applying this in the spring when the weather has officially broken and after I've done a couple minor "fixes", I guess we'll see how it goes when the time comes.
