my first attempt at paint correction porter cable

Hi im a newbie, who has never worked with a buffer. I tried to remove swirl marks by hand and it never worked. Decided to go to a "pro" who had a detailing shop and he made it worse. After viewing videos from mike and asking questions on this forum decided to try it myself. Went for the portercable and the wolfgang duo kit sold here on autogeek.net. Special thanks to everyone who helped me out and gave their suggestions. here are the before pics, sorry I couldn't get more pics in the sunlight it was a cloudy day.

Great work. Black paint is unforgiving and the afters look very good.

I am newbie also and I have just completed my second correction. I still have so much to learn, but I already know so much more than I did this time two months ago when I first started browsing this forum. I now have spent what feels like a small fortune on supplies, but to be honest it's probably just the cost of one true professional correction, so I am already in the money and will save on every detail going forward.

Thanks, yes black paint is difficult. You can notice every defect from far especially when the sun hits. The first try is the most difficult after about half way on the car I felt a lot more comfortable with the machine. So much so that I did the hood again because I thought I could do a better job then when I started. Im just doing this to take care of my cars and not trust it to anyone again. Maybe later when I have more practice time in, I will work on other peoples cars and give them real results so they wont have to go through what I did. good luck!

Yes they are harder, not as easy to put pressure. Nice job on the paint!
