One of my regular clients just purchased this E39 M5 and wanted me to make it look it's best even though it was in pretty reasonable shape for an 03.
It was obviously well maintained by the previous owner.
It is now also in the process of being brought back to tip-top shape mechanically as well as making some minor mods in the near future.
I will update the pics once he has replaced the badges and black grill etc.
What i did on this particular job was mostly a two step and occasionally three.
I say occasionally because there were only some area where i felt that i had to go with a compound first.
I used all 3M two sided pads on my Makita rotary.
For compound i went with Menzerna PowerGloss on the white pad.
The black pad was used in conjunction with 3M #2 swirl remover and finaslly i followed that with menzerna 106 on the blue pad.
My lsp was Wolfgang DGPS.
Most of you will already know by know not to expect pics of me holding a brush, cleaning a wheel or showing the effect of a wheel cleaner on the wheels.
I try to concentrate on showing what was done on the paint.
I will do my best to show all the pics in the right order but mostly you will see before and after pics lumped together.
Also, keep in mind this will be his daily driver, even though he keeps his cars immaculate, there are some minor imperfections that i decided not to get out because of either their location or wet sanding needed to get them out.
i previously did the black Nissan 300ZX and BMW 530i for him, you can find those in older posts i made.
Before:
Claying the hood
The trunk
Bumper
During the process:
Scuff on the right side mirror, will show an after pic later, most came out.
An in between reflection shot of the right front door
