    B&D Buffmaster

I happen to come across a B&D Buffmaster for free. I want
to get a Hook & Loop style backing plate for it. For 5.5 " and 7"
pads. Any one have any info? I have searched on the net and
    other sites and nothing.

    Thanks in advance.

do you have the model number? I'm guessing it is a rotary but just want to be sure.

It is a rotary. Model 6138. I believe it is the original
Dewalt 849. At least that is what someone else said.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

yes, you are correct this is the same machine as the Dewalt DW849
Here is a link to the rotary backing plates-
Rotary Flexible Backing Plate- Manufactured by Lake Country just for rotary polishers. Hook and loop backing plates for your makita 9227, Dewalt 849.

For the 5.5 inch pads you can use teh 4 3/4 backing plate and for the 7.5 inch pads you can use the 6 inch backing plate.

    Hey Jason,

Thanks for your help. I am slowly getting my tools and
products together. I have always taken good care of
my vehicles and motorcycle but would like to step it
up a bit. The work the guys do on here is amazing.
