Strange noise

Hi geekers. My last detail i noticed when my Flex spooled up or down it would make a strangled, high pitch whinning noise. I detail part time and have tons of hours on this machine with no problems, even with the noise the machine worked like a champ. I do use the LC backing plates and at the time had the largest one on. I checked the snuggness of the retaining bolt, it was fine. I then removed the plate, the teeth are good, i relubed the felt. While the plate was off I pushed the trigger and the noise was still apprent and it seems to be coming from the motor its self. Im a helicopter mechanic by trade and have no problem taking this bad boy apart to find out whats going on. Has any one else had this issue?

Probably wouldn't hurt to send the Flex to Power House Tools for service.

They are located in Nebraska. It's the where you can get your flex repaired here in North America. They are authorized by Flex to do repair work.
