    Magic eraser

How safe is the magic eraser on a cars paint? I know it works wonders but will it damage the paint?

I don't know find someone with a crappy car and try it out and find out. I'm guessing it probably won't do much at all

Magic erasers are just melamine foam. No bad chemicals in them. I have a few. I wouldn't recommend them on paint because they will mar the surface.

I saw a video somewhere online... I forget where. They dude was testing out a magic eraser on a panel. It looked like it had been wet sanded by the time he was done.

I thought Magic Eraser was similar to fine grade sandpaper? I would not use it on auto paint.

    Re: Magic eraser

When they first came out, they were similar to 1500 grit sandpaper. At this point with knock-offs abound it is hard to tell if they are all the same, so use similar caution as you wood any sandpaper in a range that works best for you.
