That's easy! I have a microfiber chenille wash mitt and the CarPro wool wash mitt. I'll use the MF chenille on the daily drivers and some others but this one is the only one that touches my Skybaby anymore Review: CarPro Wool Wash Mitt
I Love my Adams Ultimate Merino Wool Wash Mitt. Its just like the Wookie Fist, except a little cheaper. I got mine on sale for $26 and it came with two free 12"x12" wool wash pads.
I use 2-3 MF chenille mitts per wash. I have about 6 of them and they go in the washing machine after each use. Then I also have a Boars hair brush for trucks but only from the windows up. And last I have a natural sea sponge for extra delicate washes on vehicles that have gone through an extensive detail. For the chenilles, I keep a few extra and regularly compare their softness to the ones in use so I can tell when one needs to be retired to other duties like wheels and fender wells.
Excessive? Maybe a bit but it helps to keep vehicles swirl free and helps extend the life of the LSP
Eventually, I will likely have 3 sea sponges in rotation.
Most definitely. Just because it has the word "sponge" in it doesn't mean it compares to an actual sponge. In my experience it holds the most amount of soap solution to provide adequate lubrication. It's also amazingly soft and gentle.
