    more cut from pads

Have had a few projects recently were lc yellow/orange foam pads just arent cutting it or take forever with the PC. Looking at grabbing either the lc thin foamed wools or the megs microfiber cutting pads. Anybody care to chime in. Also plan on adding a rotary here soon so cross compatibility would be nice.

I love my purple foamed wool with both my PC and my rotary. Use them on both machines when needed.

LC ThinPro Grey has more cut than LC Yellow/Orange.

Check out the CarPro Flash pad. States this pad on a DA can do same correction as the typical rotary set up. I have the gloss pad and it is nice. Gonna be ordering a few flash pads soon myself

I tried out the 3" flash pad on a bad wheel of my sisters. She had used a pot scrubber on it. It did a great job and finished out well on the silver wheel, but the sharp edges took its toll on the pad. It's an interesting pad. Very stiff.

I like the pink foam over the yellow and orange. It's rougher, and has lager open cells. It feels like a mild scrubber. Green buff and shine is similar. The yellow and orange have smaller cells, and get really smoother and soft when in use. Yellow stays harder than the orange, but it's still retaively smooth on the face.

Do you need air to clean these pads or brush?

I don't have air and use a brush. Works fine for me but i don't go too long before changing out to a fresh, clean pad.

You wont care for cross compatibility with wool pads. Short fiber wool pads amplify buffer hop when used on a rotary.

Use short fiber pads on the DA and long fiber pads on the rotary.
