I bought a yellow 3" CCS from ads myself for headlights....no interest for them AG?? I think u should reconsider that decision.

Sent from my XT1030 using AG Online

    Re: 3 Inch Foam Pads?

3" pads on a PC make the machine much more useful - not only for small areas, but also cutting power on RIDS is much increased. I've been stocking up on 3" pads. The Griot's 3" pads are OK. The LC Hydrotech cut better. The LC microfiber cut well, but one of two pads died on the second use. I'm going to try Surbuf & Meg's MF w/ my next order.

We've had them here, at least I have a huge box of them. The issue with them is the foam tends to taper inward when you're using them, especially on a rotary buffer and this puts the edge of the backing plate close to car paint.

Not a huge deal for a seasoned pro that knows to pay attention and focus on the task at hand but a newbie could possibly cause some damage using these small pads.

My guess is there will be more small pads at AG in the near future espeically with the introduction of the Rupes TA50. We used the Rupes TA50 this last Tuesday for tight areas and thin panels on an Ferrari.... works pretty good.

And if anyone paid attention to the this thread, we let the new guys use 2" pads on the Rupes TA50
