    Picking pads

I have a SLEW of pads. I made some bad choices when I started purchasing and didn't pay attention. I have both 5.5 and 6.5 CCS pads along with 5.5 and 6.5 hydro-tech pads. The 5.5 HT pads are the thin design which I think are not the best choice for a Flex polisher, which I have on the way. I have a Rupes 21 with the 6" plate, a GG with a 5" plate. So I am trying to ensure I pick the right pads when doing my work. My understanding is thin is in for the Rupes and GG so should I get the 5" plate for the 21 and run 5.5" pads on the GG and Rupes and save the 6.5" pads for the flex? I ordered the VIP from last week so I will have the 5"BP for the Flex but I will only have fat CCS pads in the 5.5" size. I am thinking this:

Rupes/GG 5.5" thin hydro and CCS pads. I know the CCS pads aren't thin but I have a boat load of them.

Flex run the standard BP and use the 6.5" CCS and hyrdo-techs.

sounds like you and I do the same thing! I buy lots of products to try out and find what works best for me that way.

    Re: Picking pads

I believe most of us go through this process of found by ourselves which works best for our needs and equipment. Not everyone has a mentor or someone close who can teach you what you need to know. Hopefully I get most of my questions answer when attending the detailing course next year.
