LC Hybrid Grey/Black Pads - A Question
For those of you who have been using the Hybrid pads, is there any significant difference in the grey/black pad than the traditional flat grey/black pad? Any advantage to using the Hybrid version over the traditional?
I know Mark said the foam was the same, but I'm about to order some Hyrbids and wanted to hear some opinions on the grey/black pad.

No one wants to share their experience with the Hybrid grey/black vs. the flat grey/black? Please? Pretty please?

Personally I feel like the foam is a little more firm. I really like them but you have to make sure they are absolutely dry if you wash them mid detail as they can hydroplane. Im using a GG 6

I thought you are supposed to spray a little water or pad moistener on a foam pad before you begin using it, you feel a pad should be completly dry before using it? Am I misunderstanding the does and don'ts?

I believe most people will prime the pad with product over a pad conditioner.
Although my comment was specifically addressing using a black hybrid pad after it has been washed mid detail. When I tried to use them right after I washed them, if I wasn't extra careful to fully dry them prior to re-priming them I noticed that they had a tendency to hydroplane.
I didn't notice this on any other hybrid pad or the ones that I double checked to make sure they were very dry.
So your understanding isn't wrong per se, just a quirk I noticed for this particular scenario.

Re: LC Hybrid Grey/Black Pads - A Question
It's a very soft foam, I haven't actually held and compared the different black foam pads at the same time to physically compare them, guess I could just for the heck of it.
They do work really well, if memory serves me correctly I find the 5" black Hybrid on the Flex 3401 to be a little squishy, that is so soft that it squishes or compresses more than I wish.
