    Are my foam pads toast?

What do you think of these pads? Do I have to throw them away or are they still usable? Is the cutting ability of the pad gone? If they're no good then I'll do what Corey does to his, cut them up and use them as tire foam applicators.

    New pad:

I have a hard time letting my pads go even though they look damaged or bad. I think pads are expensive so I just don't want to throw them away if I don't have to. I might have a hoarding problem...

    Thanks for your help!

I keep my highly used pads for "cutting/polishing by hand" areas - but leave them off the machine they are used with.

Re: Are my foam pads toast?

the bottom pic reminds me of some of the new white lake country pads i have, though it doesn't hurt the functionality of the pads, they turned yellowish...

These are W8006 Meguiar's polishing pads so they are yellow.

They'll cut less but they aren't done. Use on.

Yeah those pads are not done dude.... I can't believe people are telling you to toss those away. I mean... it's still in one piece. When you get chunks flying off or missing then you can start considering a backup plan and a new strategy.

I hate buying pads, I agree I think they are to expensive. I'm not sure if the pads done or not. I would do a test spot and see what results you get

There's no way you're going to get near the results from those pads compared to a new or even somewhat used pad.
