A little 60 or 80 grit sandpaper will make that pad look like new...... Ok, well almost

Sounds like a plan! I look forward to the showroom thread - sometime next year, I suppose?

For those of you that think that pads are toast, how long have you been detailing and are you detailing as a business? Just curious.

I've been detailing for a few years. Sure, they're probably not toast, but they're not gonna work nearly to their full potential. Unless you're broke, why not spend a few bucks on some new pads that will last a good while longer and perform better? If you think about it, it makes plenty of sense.

Sure, Mark it makes total sense and I agree with you. I have a ton of brand new pads and I can use them without a problem. I'm just asking everyone here what they think before I throw them away. Why throw away something that can still work right? If everyone says that the pad is shot then I'll throw it away no problems. Just wanted to hear it from the more experienced detailers. This is a forum, isn't it?

When your pads get to looking like that, toss them in a box. When the box is full send me a PM and I,ll give s 25on cents on the dollar for them and use them for another season.

Marc, I sincerely apologize if I offended you. I just thought you may not have anymore new pads or you don't want to spend money on new pads. I wouldn't use the pad you posted on paint, but that's just me, and I was offering my opinion. You're one of my favorite forum members.

I was going to offer a flat $1! Who should I PM my address to?

Mark, you didn't offend me at all. I took your comments as very constructive and helpful. I value and highly regard your opinion.

Thank you for your input on this subject, Mark! Thanks also to everyone who helped out with what they think! I really appreciate it.
