I have a new 3m quick connect for my Milwaukee rotary polisher. I have had a set of edge 2000 pads for a while and have been using them with a porter cable machine. My problem is when I use the 3m Qc with the edge pads they wont lock on and come off. What can I do to fix this problem

Although 3M says its patented "Quick Connect Adaptor" is complimentary with its 3M Perfect-it III Quick Connect System, your supposed to be able to use it with either 3M's double-sided "Quick Connect Pads" or the Edge 2000 pads.
Something seems to be faulty....Have you tried the adapter with any of the 3M double-sided pads that are specifically designed for use with the adapter to see if they will work?
Since I can't personally have your adapter to "test"; and, if you purchased the 3M adapter at AGO; then I'll suggest a PM/Call to one of the helpful staff members for further assistance.
