if i buy both pad washers, i can get a flex DA polisher with that cost. Should i go for the Grit Guard Universal ? because i saw a lot of good feedbacks from Grit Guard Universal. It is hard to make a right decision =[.

Just a thought....looking at the DA pad washers they look like the grit guards that are placed at the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket but raised to the top of the bucket. How about stacking a few grit guards in a 5 gallon bucket until you get the height that you need. The grit guards go for $15 for a pair, figure you might need 4 to get the right height. To get the pumping action you can probably place a spring or a sponge under the top grit guard in the stack and set the water level to just below the top grit guard. I'm sure you can get a joint compound lid and cut your own lid to mimic the splash guard.
In my experiences I've found it cheaper and more efficient to just buy enough pads so you don't need to worry about cleaning them while you are using them. I would much rather do a quick swap in the middle of a detail than have to stop and clean a pad before continuing. To me it's worth cleaning a few more pads after the detail. But that’s just me.
Corey, you are correct, the Universal Pad Washer can be used with DA or rotary. The System 2000 is rotary only, though I recall hearing Mike Phillips say the latter could be used with a DA as long as the pad was kept spinning.
i just bought and started using my grit guard pad washer and i absolutely love it i have a flex rotary (pe14-2) and a 7424xp both work perfect with this pad washer with no problems at all.... my only complaint is that the pads are not dry even to use after cleaning right away so having multiple pads per job would be a great idea as well
