pads for Griot 6" for start?
Hi all,
What pads would you recommend for 2 cars only - no pro usage for Griot Garage 6" DA?
How many pad will I need for one car polish?
I don't plan to polish both cars the same day.
So far I found Kompressor 6" pads kit, CCS 6.5, HT 6.5, Meg's 7"
thanks for links.

I use the LC flat 6.5" pads, you should have at least 2 of each pad in orange & white

Personally I would get this as my first pad kit, with 2 orange, 3 white, and 1 black. If I could go back in time I would order this and save myself some money.
Lake Country 6.5 FLAT Pads 6 Pack - Your Choice!
Or the equivalent flat pads in 5.5" size along with a 5" backing plate. That would cost you about the same amount of money.
Lake Country 5 1/2 x 7/8 inch Beveled Edge Foam Pads, buffing pads, Lake Country curved edge pads, polishing pads and lake country 5 inch backing plate, 5 inch backin plate, 5 inch hook and loop backing plate
It's easier to keep the 5.5" pads rotating with a DA, I find myself using them much more often than the 6.5" pads. To each his own though, you may prefer the 6.5" pads as they have a larger work area.

I've heard good things about the hydrotech pads but I haven't used them myself so I didn't recommend them.

I personally have bumped down to 5.5" pads because they are more efficient. But as far as the colors 3 Orange Pads, 3 White Pads, 2 Black Pads, 1 Blue and 1 Red.

are 5.5" pads required 5" plate?
I have 5 3/4" plate

Re: pads for Griot 6" for start?
I think it should suffice in the mean time. But that backing plate will be 1/4" bigger than the 5.5" pads.

looks like it will be risk as I can damage paint by touching exposed back plate in corners
or pad is so thick that plate will not touch?
