Lake Country Blue vs. Black
I received my order of Lake Country Flat Pads a few days ago and a bit confused.
I thought the "blue" was for wax/sealant and the "black" was for light polishing? Would a "red" pad be better for applying a wax/sealant, and why doesn't AutoGeek carry those?
P.S. I have some older Lake Country that have a plain solid black backing, what's the new white backing?

Re: Lake Country Blue vs. Black
They changed the foam formula for the blue pad, making it better for polishing.
The idea behind the recent revision of the line was to eliminate confusion, and redundancy which is probably what accounts for the missing red pad.

Lake Country updated the flat pad line with new velcro backing, new foam formulas and new pad designations.

Could be improvements on the "loop" aspect of the velcro. There's also "branding" on the back now.

so did black replace red? I too was a bit confused. I assume my white and orange are still the same pads?

Yes, the black rrplaced the red.
The orange and white should be the same.
