I was using the pfw on the PC/Das 3 years ago where it worked better than the 3401 with pfw’s. The PC takes really well to wool alongside longer throws.

The Rupes coarse wool with the shorter nap doesn’t cut as well as their longer nap yellow medium wool or any other brand long nap. I’m just not getting any joy out of Rupes new MF and Blue Coarse Wool. Their Yellow Wool on the other hand is a masterpiece.

Why would Rupes claim opposite?

It was great!
I've used the purple thin foamed wool pads, and didn't at all like the user experience. They were really grabby.

completely agree^
I was shocked when I heard that people were using these pads on a 21mm throw polisher.

I do not understand how these long fiber wool pads can cut well on a random orbital? You’ve got to have a lot of torque going for you to make the fibers really cut. Gear driven and rotary makes WAY more sense.

The rest of the world has been doing it for years and disagree. In the next year or so you will see these pads being introduced in the States for “random orbitals” and it will more than likely start a shift from mf.

Re: Buff and Shine Uro-Fiber Pads
Amateur serious enthusiast here.......correcting sand "blasted" VERY small "craters" in my 2012 Corvette (Inferno Orange)
Mostly on Front Bumper, Road Grit thrown from vehicle in Front & also on sides of car ...debris thrown from Vette Tires
This far Ive had good results from my Porter Cable 7424XP, Meguairs Regular MF 6" pad and Meg's 100 polish.....but slight defects still remain
I have Uro Wool 6" & Uro-Tech Maroon 6" on Order
As well Ive bought but not used a a TORQ22D (I know huge difference vs the PC7424)
ADVISE Please as to how far to polish these defects and when to call it quits and live with it.......
I've thought about Damp Sanding with Trizact3000 but am Fearful

Personally, I just go over the paint to remove the scratches and swirls, and to shine up the paint.
I don't really go after the really deep pock marks in the front. That part of the car gets really beat up by virtue of where It's located, so I'd want as much paint as possible left on that part.
