Re: rupes 21 destroyed some good quality pads
With the Rupes you don't need pressure. 5 to 6 passes with the Rupes liquids is all that is needed to break them down.

My guess is too much pressure? I had similar issues but just went over it some more if i needed more correction.

Is the middle yellow pad, a Rupes pad?

Too long of a buffing cycle with too much pressure. Saw a pal do the exact same thing with a PC.

Do you mean overused in "use it for too many cars/years atc" or overuse on "too much time for a buffing cycle" ? The only pad that have some "mileage" on is the white spider pad.

Re: rupes 21 destroyed some good quality pads
I am adding a video, it's me working on the rupes with a rupes pad. Maybe it can put some light on my technique. It's in hebrew (for my costumers in israel) but everything else is universal.. What do you think about the technique? The result is in the second part of the video. I will be happy for your opinion on the results 2..

Re: rupes 21 destroyed some good quality pads
The pads on the floor where on their way to be wash, the pass that was on the video was the last one for the job . I never use a dirty pads and i clean them every 1-2 buffing cycles with air and after ~10~ cycles with APC and move to a fresh pad.

Re: rupes 21 destroyed some good quality pads
They just look tired, and from experience I've been there many times.pads don't last forever the apc could be eating them up.I use gentle soap with cold water.Try the thin pro pads since trying those out haven't had any issues just with the thicker bigger pads.Thin pros are easier for maximum rotation and easier to clean.
