Thanks guys! As far as the rims go, I just found out I have 2 tires that are bad (high road variance). So I'll probably be tire/rim shopping in the spring/summer.

What does that mean, high road variance?

Re: Wolfgang detailing!!! Fuzion is the best!

I applied Fuzion last November and I got durability out of that one coat into March. We didn't have the roughest winter, but it was a cold one for sure. I only washed the car maybe 3 times all winter simply because it wouldn't get above 32 for more than a couple hours and I hate washing the car that cold.

From my research, tires are not perfectly round. Once force is applied to the tire (tire spinning with your car's weight on it), the shape of the tire is altered more. This could cause vibrations depending on the vehicle. You can get your tires balanced on a road force variance balancer, and it will give you numbers for each tire. The higher the number, the worse the tire.

I rotated my tires last week, and immediately started getting nasty vibrations in the steering wheel, pedals, and seat at speeds of 40mph and up. I got the tires "road force balanced" at my dealership, and they told me that 2 of the tires have high "road force variance" numbers. They balanced all of the tires and put the two "bad" tires on the back of the car. They said DO NOT rotate the tires again, just drive it until the tires need replacement. I asked about the road variance, and he said basically that it means that those 2 tires are bad. Pretty said that Goodyear turns out an OEM installed tire that needs replaced at 23k miles when there is still over 6/32 tread left (Eagle RSA).
