WG 3.0 durability??
I just got a bottle of dgps 3.0. I would love to give it a shot, but with fall and winter around the corner, I was wondering what type of protection it now provides. I really liked the looks and ease of use of the previous version, but as many stated the durability was not on par with some other longer lasting sealants. I know 3.0 is much improved, but what times are typically being reported for durability, and how does it stand up to typical lower midwest type winter weather? I havent seen a lot of info yet on the new 3.0 version other than "increased durability" which is a pretty open term.
Comments appreciated.

Re: WG 3.0 durability??
I had WG DGPS on my car for two months and it was still beading strong. I wanted to remove it to apply Z2Pro and did a Dawn wash and I still didn't get it all off. After a bit of polishing and another Dawn wash, I got it off, so my guess is it is a fairly durable product.

My take is they are very similar, with a slight edge in slickness to Wet Diamond. Both are amazing products IMO. Easy on, easy off, great look, non-staining. Can't lose either way.

2 coats on a polished "CLEAN" surface lasted me a NY winter last year.

Re: WG 3.0 durability??
I agree with alowe........it all boils down to what was the condition of the surface it was applied to? I think it is a superb product but preparation is the key to longevity, if it's Wolfgang, Duragloss, Meguiar's, whatever.

Re: WG 3.0 durability??
Are you sure Blackfire is acrylic ??? Klasse and Werkstatt are acrylics, and I believe Blackfires makeup is similar to Wolfgang and other sealants like Duragloss which are considered water based.

Re: WG 3.0 durability??
On their site they say it is but could be wrong.
Anyway WGDP 3.0 looks to be a great product expensive yes but very good.
1. Does this sealant have slight filling properties notice I said slight.
2. On good paint can I achieve pretty good results with this by hand if prepped with the pe-wax cleaner.

If your paint is prepped right, I would do an IPA wipe down and skip the pre-wax cleaner. Just apply 3.0 2x to clean paint.

Re: WG 3.0 durability??
Many of our customers that know they are in for a long winter will prep their car, apply a couple layers of WG Sealant and then top with a layer or two of carnauba. You will find yourself set for winter. And if you have the option you can always use some Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant to amp up the protection.
