    wet Sanding and compounding question???

My question is that my truck has a couple of light scratches they seem like they can go away with some sanding, do i have to sand the entire panel or y can sand a good area around he scratch to level it up? and my question about compounding is can i compound a panel without sanding it?

Yes. You can sand just the area around the scratch. No need to sand a whole panel

Yes. You can compound a panel w/out sanding

What other questions do you have? I'm feeling chatty tonite!

Don't be in any rush to sand your finish. It's a last resort, not a first one. The golden rule is always start with the least aggressive method and move up in aggressiveness. That's like taking a 50 cal to hunt a squirrel. So, in other words, try compound and various pads leading up to wool before you even consider breaking out any sand paper.
