Sandpaper ?
What is the fineist grit sandpaper out there?
The other day/nite I caught Pawn Shop on the box and a gent who refinished a guitar said he sanded it down with 6000 grit paper. I've never heard of that 'fine' of paper, but nuttin' surprises me anymore.
Thanx for any information...

Re: Sandpaper ?
got my 8,000 from a local paint supply store. a company i used to work for required us to use it while prepping to blend clear coat. It looks and feels more like a vinyl rather than paper.

Re: Sandpaper ?
In my opinion it's always best to invest your time up front doing an exceptional job sanding and finishing out at the highest grit you can obtain as this makes the compounding step faster and easier.
