You also stated earlier that M205 isnt really a finishing polish, I disagree. Heres an article I wrote a long time ago on the versatility of M205: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...potential.html
Thanks for the link, it was very helpful. I'm going to see how they both work this weekend. I'll just have to experiment a little, but I'm confident I can work it out.

Speaking of M205, I even use that stuff on my headlights after wet sanding em. I buffed the headlights out with M205 instead of plastx. I liked the results. Now I just keep em waxed. It was the only part of my car I ever used a buffer on. I have even heard of people using 205 with megs burgundy pad to get the oxidation off of bathroom shower doors.... hahaha good stuff.

Thanks, I was surprised that 205 got the sanding marks out so well. It was awesome.

what machine did you use to buff out the sanding marks on those headlights? also, what sanding grit was used prior to the 205? great job!

Went from 600 to break down the crust that was all along the top. Up t0 1500, then to 2000 grit. After that it was a Makita Rotary, 3m foam polishing pad, and some megs 205. That was it, after the final photo was taken, I waxed it with Megs ULW.

I don't know about menzerna 4000 but menzerna 4500 compared to 205, I think 4500 finishes way better.

Nice. That sounds almost identical to what I did when I restored my lens.

    Agreed.

IMO, M205 can't match the level of finishing ability of SF4500.
