Yeah for all that work I'd charge anywhere between $150-200+ depending upon the size and condition of the vehicle, also their expectations.

To answer one of your questions...A polish may or may not remove swirls depending on the paint, the detailer, and the tools. A glaze is usually used to hide swirls. So this is probably just going to be a quick two step, perhaps eliminate some, and cover the rest until the next car wash.
To answer the other question "Does that sound right?"...$80 is absolutely going to be a "wham bam thank you mam" job. The shop proprietor is probably going to pay 4-5 guys under the table and do the whole thing in an hour. He'll use old clay, dirty pads, and dirty towels all used on 10 cars before yours. This is a volume shop to be sure, there's no money in it otherwise. Experienced labor, clean tools, and fresh products cost money, and this guy isn't making much of it so you can guarantee that more than just the corners are being cut.

I charge 90 for a basic exterior detail on a small car. Wash, clay, wax. No polishing.

Re: I need help is 80 dollars good for exterior detail ?
$80 for a wash-clay-seal MAYBE. But not for correction, polish etc. If the car isn't totally thrashed and it's small I start @ $120.
