Getting rid of clay residue
The first time I clayed my car, I discovered it has some of the "protective" film in a few strategic locations. I discovered this because when claying in a horizontal motion there was some clay residue caught on the very edge of the protective film.
What do I need to do to get rid of this residue? Washing doesn't help at all, and I don't want to harm my wax/sealant or paint.
I haven't tried anything but my Mother's car soap with Carnuba.

Re: Getting rid of clay residue
A damp microfiber with some detail spray or WW should do the trick.(May have to apply moderate pressure)
I can generally remove clay pieces by using clay in various directions.
