The Tornador injects the cleaning solution deep into the fabric and breaks down many of the stains before the extractor starts working. Think of it as pre treating the carpets on steroids.

A steamer works fine for this also, but the Tornador is just faster and more powerful.

Hey Mark I saw you like to use that encapsulating cleaner. I looked it up and found it was pretty pricey. I currently use Folex diluted to 4-1 with distiller water for carpet shampooing. This is very effective and price efficient, I also use a tornador to deliver this solution. I then extract or steam depending on the level of soiling.
I was wondering what the advantages of your cleaner are and how you use it?

    Brown/yellow type stains: oxydizers
    Red stains: reducers
    Inks and dyes: solvents
    Pet urine: oxydizers / acid

Upholstery: keep pH as neutral as possible.
Carpet: high pH is fine just make sure you use an acid rinse if your going to go above 12 pH on your prespray.

I have tried to research stain types several times with no results Worth mentioning. Would you mind writting something that goes into détails explaining which products you use for each stain type? Solvents is very vague to me. It could mean turpentine, paint thinner, alchool, acetone, etc...

This is one area where info is badly lacking!
