142 sprays of degreaser...is it enough for one footwell?

I had to re-watch this and count the number of sprays

    Am I not using enough?

Please note that proper cleaning carpets should use a neutral or acid product 1st as highly alkaline products like degreasers can set in protein based stains (tannin)

    Good question!

    IMO:
Almost every one familiar with the scientific facts underlying the total cleaning process of (carpeted) footwells, will agree that anywhere between 142-145 sprays of a degreaser is not only inherently safe...but provides for a most sanitary cleaning process.

However, if this information would ever fall upon the ears of EPA/OSHA Officers that you are cleaning footwells successfully at the aforementioned 142-145 spray-pattern; and, knowing their laudable zeal to create as wide a margin of safety as practicable in connection with the footwell cleaning process:
One can expect, fairly promptly, to find themselves working under an ordinance requiring 145-148 sprays of a degreaser as the new compliance/minimum.

This in turn will mean either incorporation of the new
145-148 spray-pattern, a change in footwell cleaning machinery, or a closing-down of this type of footwell cleaning operation until adherence to the new compliance/minimum is achieved.

Maybe that's my problem. i keep losing count after about 40 sprays. I guess I'll have to get on of my kids out there with me to do my counting.

It did come out clean though. However, the chances of getting all of the soap out is very little and then you can have suds the next time you get in the car while it's raining.
