    Are detailing products light sensitive?

Hey guys, just a quick question regarding the various liquids that can be used with a polisher: I like to put them in squeezable (ketchup style) clear plastic bottles. I am worried that light and sun might alter them. Is there a problem putting rubbing compounds, polishes, glazes, sealants and/or liquid waxes in clear bottles?

IMO, products are more sensitive to temperature than light.

If the product came in a clear bottle then I wouldn't sweat it but if it came in a bottle that doesn't let any light in (a milk jug would a good example of what I am talking about) then I would store it in the bottle it came in.

Took the words right out of my mouth. +100^^^^^^
Some products are light sensitive and will come in a non-clear container. Pretty simple, actually. I bet you can find non-clear bottles so you don't have to change your procedures.

IMO the elements beat everything in a battle of attrition.

So id recommend keeping everything out of the sun as much as possible and in a cool dry place with a consistent temperature.

This way you know and can ensure everything you buy will only degrade based on its self life, not improper storage.

Nothing more I hate than throwing away anything that i caused to go bad... food or auto products
