Talking DIY two bucket system with grit guard

being a long way away from the USA, it's quite expensive to ship, all my autogeek purchases, let alone space consuming grit guards and two bucket systems. so I set out to make my own with a wheeled mop cleaning twin bucket with a grit guards cut out of plastic fruit trays. I still need to add the "fins" to keep them in place above the bottom of the bucket and to avoid the dirt from coming back up.

    Sounds like an interesting DIY'er...
But for some reason or another...I don't see the picture you posted.

    Please advise. (Thanks)

I saw one on another post, they made one from heavy plastic or corrugated plastic and a plastic ceiling light difuser. Cut the difuser, round to fit bucket and cut heavy/corrugated plastic into two strips, notched the middle, punched a couple of holes and zip tied it all together.
It looked really good for a DIY project. i beileve that total cost was $5, but for that amount, I would buy the real thing.

sorry, the google drive link dint work! Better with pic directly posted here
The mop squeegee bucket cost, about 25$. The "grit guard"/ 2 x plastic fruit trays cost about 2 USD

    I especially like the built-in, 2-bucket "dolly-system".

Good job...Good way to save some money.

Re: DIY two bucket system with grit guard

That's really cool. I like how it's all one piece. I'd put a handle on it so I wouldn't have to bend down to pull it around the car. What a pain! I think AG needs to make a one piece two bucket system like this, with a handle.
