That causes the fur to clump together and get tangled. Ive done this to a couple cheap wool/sheepskin mitts that I used to use because I was too lazy to let them air dry. Its extremely hard to brush afterwards.

I do believe Dodo Juice recommends air dry versus machine dry on the mitt.

I put a window squeegee upside down in a five gallon bucket then put the handle inside the mitt and it works great holding the cuff open so it can air dry. Have you tried the Merino wool wash mitt, auto wash mitt, sheepskin wash mitt yet? I love the wookies fist but the CarPro wool mitt is now my go to wash mitt.
