How do you fold your clay?
Is there a best practice for folding clay? I just keep folding until it looks new again.

Clay is not cheap, so I use my spray lub (car soap) and a tooth brush to clean the clay before folding in a new section. Clay will last twice as long.

This sounds like a nice tip! I will make sure to do this when using clay.

BF clay cleaner is great, really extends the life of your clay. Makes a great pad cleaner as well.

not sure about cleaning pads but I agree it makes clay last much longer

Fold it in half and then twist it like taffy a few times, then re-knead into a patty.
I show this in most of our videos including the Thursday Night Live Broadcasts if we use clay on the car.

Do you rinse with water after scrubbing the clay?

Re: How do you fold your clay?
You could, but most of the crap just falls off when spraying. You could have a small bucket of soap and water to scrub and rinse with, but it's a pain moving it around. Your already using the spray lub so it's not a problem.
