Tips on removing lint from felt seals?
I've got a car in with a felt like gasket around the sun roof covered in lots of fine lint on the exterior. Black seal white lint looks terrible! It somewhat comes lose if I rub it with my finger nail but it's quite embedded and time consuming. Any tips for removing the lint in an efficient manner? Was thinking maybe a careful application with some kind of pet hair brush or tool?

You could wrap some duct tape around your hand and pat it off. Or vacuum it off.
'Cause there's just something women like about a pickup man.

Lint roller. Works wonders for dog hair on seats as well.

Re: Tips on removing lint from felt seals?
Thanks guys... but I have already tried a few types of tape, duct and gaffers with poor results. Lint brush wont work as there is no room to use it. Vacuum should work but all my vacuum tools that small don't have a brush on the end and I tried without the brush attachment with much success. Problem is that being some type of felt the lint is intertwined with the felt like fibers. Looks like it will need some type of brush. Going to try a semi stiff small brush next as there is not much room to work specially on the leading front edges due to the way the roof opens.

I got a little rubber brush thingy at a local store that is supposed to be for dog hair removal that is FANTASTIC at removing lint, pine needles, and of course pet hair from carpets. Might give something like that a try...

Without seeing it, this might not be a practical suggestion, but what about some black colorant, shoe polish, magic marker or fabric marker? (in other words, if you can't remove it, blend it in)
Short of that...a pair of tweezers and a lot of patience?

Try wearing a rubber/latex/nitrile glove and rubbing over the felt with your fingers. Works well for loosening dog hair.

Re: Tips on removing lint from felt seals?
Was thinking pet hair brush or tool of some kind but seem to have miss placed mine. Used the small stiff brush and that seemed to help a lot so I am going to give it another run through with some latex gloves. Thanks for the ideas everyone. I still can't help but thinking there has to be a quicker and easier way to bang this out next time.
