Re: My Bissell Little Green Method
So the first time you use water is when you extract?
Yes
Do you just hold the trigger down until you don't see any dirt come out?
Hold it down until you don't see anymore dirt but you can let go in between the process to suck up excess water/dirt.
Wouldn't that mean that you would hold it down for the entire carpet.
No, on my last step, I just use the vacuum to suck up extra water and align the fibers. In fact, most of the process is just vacuum. Probably 70% of the time I'm just sucking up water not holding the trigger and 30% of the time using the water.
Just trying to understand fully. Thanks!
No problem!

You should make a video lol.
I never understood the align the fibers part and how fast do you go with the nozzle?
I'm making this way too complicated I know!

I think I may need to lol When I say align the fibers, I just mean making sure all the strokes you make with the nozzle go in the same direction,
As far as speed goes, it's a little faster than you would iron your cloths, and a little slower than you would use a paint brush
Hope this helps lol

Re: My Bissell Little Green Method
I really like the arrows lol
It did. I'll try this out soon. Hopefully it will save more time and trips inside to get more water.
I do 4 carpets and I probably fill up 5-6 times!
Do you clean the carpets in the actual car and if so do you use the same method or spray less product etc etc.

Re: My Bissell Little Green Method
Yes, I do the interior carpets as well. I've noticed that generally the floor mats are harder to do than the interior. I use the same method more or less. I use probably less water than I would the floor mats. Sometimes a little folex and a Mf go a long way. Sometimes it's a little harder to align the fibers so I just intuitively follow the contours as every interior is different. I usually end up aligning the fibers with my shop vac brush attachment.

Ah okay. On average, how long do you think it takes you do to floor mats and the interior carpet?

When I start doing floor mats, that't when I slow down a bit, put some chewing tobacco in take my time and make sure my lines are strait lol From start to finish, floor mats take me 10-30 minutes. Really just depends on how bad they are. Interior can be 5 minutes to 1 hr. 5 minutes for interiors that are in great condition, no stains and only need a little mist with folex and a FM.
Normally about 30 minutes on average for interior.

Do you think the attachment works better than by hand? Or is it more of a time/energy saver?

Well it lets me scrub a lot faster and harder. I mean its just a brush either way I think you can get the same thing done. BUT with the DA brush you can have 50 strokes go over the same spot in 8 seconds Vs. a lot longer and more energy with the hand brush. I would highly recommend it! And I use the green one, a great mixture of stiff/softness.
