PS: PLEASE... talk to me about Folex, it's new to me
I'd love to hear about it, where to get it, and why it is superior to the other brands like Hoover Deep Extract etc etc, thank you!

I have used only a few products. But Folex so far has been my go to product. You can find it almost anywhere. I buy it in gallons at Lowes. You can find the spray bottle at Home Depot. I just refill the spray bottle.
I like it because it works and it's CHEAP! I would pay more for it if I had to. Also, with little splatter stains in the headliners it works great too. I just spray some on a MF and it comes right off. I also like how it doesn't foam up when you scrub and it doesn't leave any residue either.

Thanks for the write up. I want to get a LGM, but was holding off to see if I could find the one for cars. Knowing the LGM has heat might prompt me to go ahead and get it, as I see them on sale sometimes. Also glad to see I can get Folex at Lowes, have been wanting to try that also.

Another tip...crank up the water heater the night before you are going to do carpets. While hot water is the key, the "Pro Heats" need plenty of help heating the water up. It's not like the water coming out of the LGM is going to be scalding, to tell you the truth, it feels like the same temperature as the water you put in it...maybe slightly warmer.
But DugDug, you are correct...in a non-professional machine like the LGM, it does no good to put the solution into the soap tank. The work is being done by the hot water, whatever carpet and upholstery cleaner you like and the brush before hand.

I believe i read somewhere that it heats the water up to 25 degrees from the original temperature. Not sure of the exact number. When I'm at home, I'll use already hot water but wile I'm out on a job, I'm kinda stuck with what I got lol But I must say that my LGM heats pretty decent. It feels about 80 degrees ish about as hot at comfortable bath water. It's def better than cold water lol

I wasn't aware that they made one specifically for vehicles.

Thanks for the DIY!
So the first time you use water is when you extract? Do you just hold the trigger down until you don't see any dirt come out? Wouldn't that mean that you would hold it down for the entire carpet.
Just trying to understand fully. Thanks!
