Yep... that title worked for those guys but I'll stick to what I wrote in the first post of this article.
By including little details in the title of your thread you help yourself to get more and better replies. Or more and better help. And that's the whole reason most people join a forum... to ask questions and get help.

***Bump***
For anyone new to forums.... it's okay if you're new, heck we were all new at one time including yours truly.
Read the first post to this thread and follow the tips shared and you'll find you get a lot more people >clicking< on your thread and also more and better help.

So "pad gumbo" is an epic failure for a title?

Re: How to write a good title for your thread
Perhaps, but it was intriguing enough, that I had to click. What was the roux? Curious factor.

There's always exceptions to the rule.
I have not >clicked< on your thread yet but my guess is it's about cleaning the gunk or the gumbo that builds up on the face of the pad when doing correction and polishing work?
Here's an article on the topic of cleaning pads...
Why it's important to clean your pads often...

The roux was the Snappy Pad Cleaner and hot water!

Re: How to write a good title for your thread
Sometimes I like the ambiguous thread titles. It makes me think of Forrest Gump and his box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get.
In all seriousness, a good thread title will definitely catch my interest, either because it is something I know about, or it is something I want to learn about.
