Some do but be careful not to spray it on bare aluminum.

If depends on the Simple Green product. They do make this stuff for autos; going on years now. The traditional (green colored) Simple Green will corrode aluminum if you let the product dwell/dry. If you WOWO it shouldn't be a problem; which is what I recall the manufacturer stating.

I still have about 70% of my gallon; and I typically use it elsewhere for basic household cleaning. Why take the risk.... is my M.O. here.

Look into Simple Green's industrial products line-up: {industrial.simplegreen.com/ind_products_family.php}

For example: Extreme Simple Green® Aircraft & Precision Cleaner

From its MSDS:

Section 3:COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS
Ingredient....................................CAS#..................% Range
Water.......................................7732-18-5.................≥ 78%
Triethanolamine.........................102-71-6..................≤ 10%
Ethoxylated Alcohol..................68439-46-3................≤ 5%
Propylene Glycol Butyl Ether.......5131-66-8................≤ 5%
Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate....7320-34-5................≤ 1%
Potassium Silicate......................1312-76-1................≤ 1%

pH: 10.9 (+/- 0.8)

They do have this product for Autos Extreme Simple Green Motorsports Cleaner & Degreaser I believe I've seen it at Pep Boys but why bother with so many other reasonably priced APCs out there.

Don't use Simple Green. It smells like moldy socks. Just buy a gallon of Meg's 101 or Duragloss APC.

+1 I use Simple Green at work since its the only thing that remotely works to clean the floors & its all we have. Even doing that... It doesn't work very well. I do not like Simple Green from performance to the smell.

One instance I brought a bottle of OPC to work because I got fed up with Simple Green and I added a few ounces into the mop bucket and it made a huge difference in the cleaning ability.
