Then back to the truck with some XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze.... there were some minor swirls left, especially on the hood. Harrison put on a grey finishing pad and went to work with the XMT. Besides the awesome smell, I could tell from his cute grin we was very surprised at the results. Whatever we left from the swirl removers, the Finishing Glaze concealed very nicely.

Then for the big decision, what topper were we going to use. I suggested DP Max Wax !
It goes on so easy and removes like butter, leaving behind a wet finish.
Cobra Polishing Towel making removing any wax or sealant a breeze.
Last but not least, I cannot remember the last time I cleaned the engine, SO we did. We used DP Exterior Cleaner, which everyone knows is one of my favorite products. It worked wonders on the engine, felt like my baby was brand new again. Harrison then recommended I put a coat of 303 over it to help keep it clean (I forgot, dont tell him!).

Ok, I have some reviews from the young man who detailed my vehicle....
Pinnacle XMT Polishing Pad Cleaner-
Out of the entire Pinnacle XMT line, I was most impressed with this product. It made quick work of pads that were still damp with product. Spray the pad 4 times or so, let the cleaner soak in for a minute or two, and then massage the pad under running water and it was clean in less than 30 seconds. I tested this product on a dirty pad that had had the product completely dry (I had used the pad the previous week and forgot to clean it after using it). I sprayed the pad with the XMT pad cleaner and let the cleaner soak and loosen up the dried product for about a minute and a half. I then proceeded to clean the pad under running water. Even though the product had completely dried into the pad, the XMT pad cleaner product was able to make quick work of it and completely clean out the pad. I was rather impressed.
Poorboy’s Bug Squash-
Meghan's truck was covered in lovebugs, you couldn’t tell the paint color in the front. I sprayed the bugs with undiluted Bug Squash and let it soak for about a minute and a half. I then used a Pinnacle Safe Scrub pad to remove the bugs. It only took about 5 minutes to remove all of the bugs. This product softened up the bugs enough to where no heavy scrubbing with the sponge was needed. Its made a tough job turn easy.
Pinnacle Safe Scrub, Bug & Tar Pad-
I was very impressed with this product. I soaked the bugs in undiluted Poorboy’s Bug Squash for about a minute and a half and then went to town with the bug sponge. 5 minutes later all of the bugs were off of the paint and my bug sponge was now black with bug guts.
Pinnacle XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze-
I was rather impressed with this product. The first thing I noticed was a strong grape smell. A little overpowering at first, but it was pleasant nonetheless. The product went on smoothly and evenly when applied by a black finishing pad on a PC@ speed 3. Product removal was quick and easy. The product gave the blue metallic paint a noticeable wetness even in direct sunlight. I would definitely recommend you to at least try this product.
Detailer’s Pride: Max Wax-
This was applied to the Expedition after using XMT. I applied in direct sunlight to a very hot car (dark blue paint in the Florida summer in May) using a Pinnacle foam applicator pad. The product was easy to apply, though it did tend to dry up quickly. I attribute this to the heat though. The product was even easier to remove which was a nice surprise. I was applying the product kind of thick so that the product didn’t dry up so quickly as I applied. On most carnauba’s thick applications equate to a difficult removal. This was not so with Max Wax. Product removal was just as easy as a thin application of other carnaubas. The product gave a nice deep wet look to the expedition even though some defects were present.
Eagle One Nevr-Dull-
I used this product on Meghan's Ford Expedition wheels. I had previously clean the wheels with car wash soap and a wash mitt. After this cleaning, some embedded brake dust was still present. The Nevr-Dull was able to remove all of this embedded brake dust. The chrome took on a noticeably greater luster. Removal was a little bit of a pain. Without constantly change sides on the towel, the product liked to smear vs wipe off cleanly.

meghan forgot to add that I also applied some poorboy's Bold n Bright to the tires. I also used some meguiar's PlastX on the front liscense plate cover (now i wonder why though... the patriots!) seeing as it was looking kinda yellowish.
looking at the pictures, i realize now that I forgot to wipe out the wheel wells. ah well, just another reason to drive back down to the geek.
go figure... it rained 2 days after i did all this. boooo!!! no rain in florida for many weeks, and then i detail a truck and voila it downpours. hmmm... maybe i should do that more often seeing as the state is so dry!
