Mothers professional line APC
Finished up my gallon of Megs super degreaser. And to be truthfull, I never really liked it. I thought the cleaning ability was poor at best. At least on tires. My main use for a APC is just that, tires. And maybe my engine if i am short on Mckees engine degreaser. Got out my new gallon of mothers this morning. Along with the matching spray bottle. Got it all at AG, but I see they no longer carry it? AT never did. Mixed it 1:3 per directions for tires. I can say it did a wounderfull job of cleaning them. Very pleased with this APC. It can be diluted for different tasks.

Did you ever try the Megs APC (D101)...am curious how this stacks up against it. I use D101 for tires and wheels, and really like it

I have not used D101. Their was a post here some time ago about using this as a tire cleaner. Just because it was foaming etc... it gave the illusion of a clean tire when it fact it was still dirty. It really is marketed as a INTERIOR APC.

I now use Duragloss Ultimate Orange for tires and occasionally interiors. For wheels I stick to wheel cleaner.
Can you post some more pictures of it in action?

At what dilution did you mix your Super Degreaser?

Re: Mothers professional line APC
I agree, I use a ton of d108 because its cheap but you would think for how harsh the chemical smell is it would have better cleaning ability. I help make it more effective by using it out of a foaming nozzle that way the degreaser has a little more time to brake down the grease and brake dust. In my experience Optimum Power Clean at 10:1 cleans tires much better than d108 at 4:1. Also, just to set the record straight while d101 is still a good all purpose cleaner, Super Degreaser at 10:1 does what d101 APC can't do at 4:1. You nailed it when you mention people only using it for it's foaming capabilities.

Re: Mothers professional line APC
While I cannot say I am an expert in every Meguiars product line or have used every one of their products.... personally, of all the Megs products I have used, the only three products I would purchase again would be D103, Gold Class soap and their clay bar. I have Menzerna, Pinnacle, Dodo Juice, Wolfgang, Mothers, DP, Optimum and a couple of OTC products alongside Megs in inventory. Aside from the 3 Megs products I mentioned, all others lose out when I lock-in my process. I am interested in Meguiars Paint Protect; read a review on that one last week and was intrigued. So it isn't as if I am closed-minded about my position. I'm willing to test and reconfirm my perspective over time.
Now when we go to Mothers, while they are not the sexiest companies out there there, greater than 90% of the products I have used I would purchase again. Their foaming wheel cleaner is one of the best and most affordable. I am hoping they add ferrous decontamination properties in the future to this product.
