    Applying coatings on wheels

Hi folks! I am sure a lot of you apply coatings (either OC or CQuartz) onto your wheels to keep them looking nice and new.

Has anyone had issues with wheel weights sticking to the coating? Or shall I say, not stick to the coating.

I applied CQuartz to my winter wheels (around the weights), but for my summers, I was thinking of removing the weights and then applying OC; then getting them rebalanced.

    What are everyone's thoughts?

If a weight sticks to clearcoat, it will stick to OC or OG IMO.

    Re: Applying coatings on wheels

this question came up a few weeks ago, the OC sales rep said that wheel weights will stick to OC with no problem. I have OC on my wheels, then had them reblanced, so far no weights have fallen off in the past 8 months.

That sir, is a great question! One that I didn't even consider before doing OC on 8 wheels in the last 2 weeks. I hope they do stick...

I used Opti-Guard (pro version of Opti-Coat) and had no issues.
