So I took the plunge and finally bought a 7424xp w/pad kit.

This is my car and after washing and claying I did a test spot with a orange lcc pad with m105. I followed that up with a gray lcc pad and m205. Let me know how it looks. I know I don't have the best lighting but my phones led does a decent job showing the swirls and random scratches.

I plan to finish it up with Menzerna PO85RD.

You've achieved some very impressive results with two legendary Meguiar's products.

Meguiar's M205 is right at home with a White foam pad. While it has almost no cut, a gray foam pad can be used for some final finishing as you've demonstrated.
