Doctor Shine 2011 Chevy Tahoe Long Island New York
This Tahoe was a challenge to say the least. We had 4 guys on this truck for over 3 days. 50+ man hours total went into this beastly rig. Special thanks to Dennis Ware who is on the AG Forum for helping me out, otherwise I'd still be in the shop spinning the wheel.
As you can see, the water etching and swirling was pretty bad.
There were a ton of small rock chips and road rash all throughout the hood, front and rear fenders. Heck I lost count at 100
Our man James was on the tint...5% throughout
Menzerna 300 to the rescue....My days of wet sanding scratches are OVER, thank god. It would slow me down tremendously. Even though I didn't remove it, I would say its 80% better. I could of pushed more, but at what cost? It was no longer an eye sore
Prepped with Pinnacle Clay, Optimum Ferrex and Gauge Readings
Test spot came out so good, I just kept going. 5.5 hours just compounding the hood using a Boss 21 with microfiber pad and Pinnacle Advanced Compound.
Here's a video
Tail lights and Headlights were restored to near new
The customer opted for our wheels off service. Over 5 hours on these wheels making them new. Wheels were coated with Opti-Pro Plus
All trim was restored and customer was charged per linear foot using Opti-Trim Restore
This bleach stain was dyed OEM color to restore the mat to near new condition.
As you can see, we went through quite a few pads correcting this paint
Interior came out great
For the final step, the customer chose Opti-Coat Pro Plus
Final results:
Thanks for viewing, comments always appreciated.

great job. Really like your write ups.
You covered every square inch of this vehicle!
May I ask what tool and pad was used to remove the deep scratch?

Wow, impressive! Nearly 6 hours compounding the hood? I think I'd go crazy. Keep up the good work.

Used Griots Boss, with a griots non-foam lined microfiber cutting disc with Menzerna 300. Stuff cuts through anything.

And I questioned my mental sanity and original estimate many times while compounding that hood. If I never see a Tahoe again, I'll be a very happy man!

Nice job! It looks amazing now, and nice match up on the floor mat dye. That's one thing I could never do when I was detailing at a shop 8 years ago.

Wow! Looks like it got attacked by sand paper! That thing was really beat! Superb work...and kudos to you and your crew for the hours put into that beast!
