2014 Toyota VIOS - Light Holograms Removal

This is a Toyota Vios with some light holograms/haze found on the paint.

The extremely soft paint made the paint correction very challenging and in fact the softest paint I came accross. I had to use the least aggresive method when working on the paint.

The main objective of this project was to restore the paint and seal it with quality paint coating.

Process
- Wheels - Cleaned with Megs D140 Wheel Brightener.
- Tires - Cleaned with Megs D108 Super Degreaser, tires sidewall brushed with TUF SHINE Tire Brush. Then dressed with Optimum Tire Shine.
- Initial wash by ONR (Optimum No Rinse).
- Osren Tar Removal.
- Paint prep with Iron-X iron remover.
- Again, washed clean by ONR (Optimum No Rinse).
- Performed a baggie test and then decontaminated with Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay.
- Performed test spot on the trunk lid, tried multiple pads and polishes and got the best result using FLEX XC3401 at speed 4 with the combination of Super Finish SF-4000 (Black Lake Country Flat Foam Pad).
- Some of the panels didn't work well with the combination above. I had to change to a less aggressive polish which was Menzerna Super Finish 4500 PO85RD.
- Optimum Gloss Coat as the LSP.

It's time to seal the paint with Optimum Gloss Coat.

And here are some shots in the late evening, while waiting for the owner to pick up the car.

It was drizzling on the way back home. The lower part of the car was slightly soaked. The wet surface might indirectly affect the curing process of the paint coating.

To allow the paint coating to cure properly, I followed the car owner back and then immediately wiped the paint dry with microfiber towel.

Epilogue
I slipped and fell into an open drain around outside of the customer's garage.
But I didn't notice the wound or feel the pain until i got home and took off my long pants.

Guess i was too attentive taking care of the customer's car until i didn't realize the pain.
