Show Car Tire Detailing w/BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant

The tires on Bob's 1966 Mustang (restored by Wayne Carini - featured here) were looking like they could use a little TLC, so I set aside a few minutes today to give them the BLACKFIRE treatment.

Bob's Mustang never gets washed the conventional way (hose, bucket, tire cleaner, brushes, etc), so cleaning the tires has never been an easy task...until now. Thanks to BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant, I can clean AND dress the tires on the Mustang in one step. It's real simple, and it works especially well on whitewall tires - like the ones found on Bob's Mustang.

This is how they looked before being cleaned and dressed:

They weren't in bad shape by any means, but they definitely didn't fit the part of a classic American icon restored by Wayne Carini.

BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant works best when scrubbed into the tire using a microfiber applicator pad. I sprayed the product directly onto the applicator pad and went to work.

Check out all the dirt and grime it removed:

This is how they looked after being cleaned and dressed:

The tires exhibit a low-gloss, satin-sheen. More gloss can be achieved by using a tad more product, but I didn't think it would be fitting for an all-original classic like Bob's Mustang.

If you have a classic car, or simply prefer to wash your vehicle using the waterless or rinseless method, then you'll love BLACKFIRE's new All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant.

Nicely done Nick! Thanks for sharing the review.

Really liking the fact that it cleans up the white walls without smearing them. Still wrapping my head around a tire and trim product that not only protects but cleans as well.

I can personally attest to this.

I tried it today on the rear diffuser of the red Camaro I recently detailed. Nick was kind enough to send me a test of this product which I received yesterday.

My daughters boyfriend had to say one last goodbye to her this morning on his way to FSU summer classes so I took advantage of that to run out and try this stuff out. I cleaned the diffuser with a really mild apc because their was road dust etc on it. I truly had no idea this BF product had cleaning capabilities. I used a yellow foam applicator and WOW, to my surprise it cleaned what I thought was already clean and the applicator turned black and I had to flip it over. No pics of before and after as this was a spur of the moment thing but I will post a pic of the applicator tomorrow.

Nick - the simplicity of this product is really intriguing. But us Floridians get a lot short, but heavy rain bursts all summer. How does this product hold up on a daily driver if it gets wet?

It holds up better than any other spray-on tire shine that I've ever used. Driving through puddles of water will most definitely remove some of the shine, but in my testing it doesn't remove it completely. Fortunately a new coat can be applied in 2-3 minutes to freshen up the appearance of your tires.
