    First details ever

Always had a passion for nice cars and shiny cars but never really knew what I was doing.

After months of reading here and watching some videos (Thanks Mike) I decided that I would start this weekend

I did 3 hoods that never had any paint correction what so ever

    Hyundai Elantra
    Scion TC
    Subaru 2.5 RS

I used on my Porter Cable, orange/white/green/blue CCS pads (not on all hoods)

Really proud to show my dad that a youngster can pull something off

    Re: First details ever

I might add that after using the CCS pads I'll be switching to the flat pads. I always had left over products in the holes.

For those corrections I did the following:

    Wash
    Iron X
    Clay
    UC with Orange pad
    UP with white pad
    ISP wipe
    Duragloss 501/601 white pad
    Glaze with green pad
    Wax with blue pad

maybe its overkill but I did a few test pass and only the Subaru didn't need a compound.

Nothing seems overkill with you process other than the glaze.

After sealing with the Duragloss products you could have gone straight to the wax. I'm not sure if anything was really gained there. If the polishing technique is sound, and the surface is corrected to your satisfaction, there really isn't much of a need for a glaze.
