    '97 Black Porsche Boxster

Hi! My first time posting up my work, hope you enjoy! I'm not a professional in the sense I do this for a living, but I do believe I take a professional approach with my work.
When I got this Porsche I couldn't believe the condition. I know it's only a Boxster, but still! My '91 black MR2 looks brand new compared to this! Anyway, I really got stuck in & even took the wheels off & got into the wheel arches. As the 'customer' is selling this I didn't put a coating on, even though a coating did wonders for my MR2.
I used Rupes LHR21ES, LHR12E Duetto & LHR75E. Pads I used Meguiars MF cutting discs with their Correction Compound & Rupes white pads with Sonax Perfect Finish. Topped off with Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish paint Protection & Blackfire Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax.

Great work, were you able to do anything with the headlights?

I did have a go at polishing them up a the right hand one was more fogged than the left. Thought it was best to at least do both. This is how it looks now, before & after, the best shots I could get. I didn't spray on a new coating as finding a sprayable coating in New Zealand isn't easy if you're not in the trade. Also I found the Porsche lights harder to get perfect. I did a Toyota MR-S one time & got them like new. Maybe the Porsche lights could be fogged right through?

Thanks for the update, I had the same experience with a 2000 Boxter.

All good. I used the 3M Trizact 1500 grit then the Trizact 3000 grit 3" on my LHR75E keeping it all very wet as I worked. Followed up by using a small MF buffing pad in the drill with Meguiars Plast-X.

Looks amazing man! I've got a metallic gunmetal grey BMW e30 to do similar work to next week, hoping for similar results! Fixing a terrible rotary buffer mess made by a previous detailer.

Good luck with that! Patience is the key for me. I really don't know what they went over the surface with, but looking at this picture it's not a rotary.
