Re: 2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS (First Paid Detail)
The Camaro turned out amazing!! Great job. Sure you may have quoted a little low, but earning money to learn and realize what you can do differently next time is time well spent. Yes, black is a tedious color to mess with, but in my opinion, it's the best color to learn on and test new products with. I know I'd be over the moon if I owned the car and it looked like that when you were done, fantastic job!!

Thank you everyone for the kind words! It really means a lot!!! The hard work was definitely worth it in the end. I would like to get a full detail in a month this year once it warms up. We'll see though. Thanks again everybody!!

You did a great job. Isn't FG400 a little aggressive for a new car though? Did it have a lot of swirling?

I wouldn't say a lot but they were present. It was my first time using FG400. There was a visable diffrence between just using the Prima Amigo and FG400 paired with the Amigo.

You really did a great job on that Camaro. I agree with you, you weren't paid enough. When I did my first detail with a PC it took a couple of days. When I bought a flex it was so much faster. Do yourself a favor and buy a Rupes or flex or even a GG6. If you're on a budget a Harbor Freight DA works well also for much, much less.
Always keep the shine in your life.

I wouldn't say it's too aggressive, depends on the finish. Typically, GM black is pretty hard and tends to require a heavier cut compound. And FG400 can finish down with some of todays better polishes, so I wouldnt push it to the back due to the year of the vehicle.

$300 plus tip is not too bad for a great learning experience. The car looks great.

Awesome job!! That it is a fine-looking automobile! I want a 1LE SS so bad,but I've heard they ride kinda rough. My back and butt aren't as young as they used to be.
