2015 Denali Meets AC DoubleCoat

This is the third vehicle I've done for this family. This big beast is a brand new, 2015 GMC Sierra Denali Diesel. It is one big beast being a 4 door with a full length box. It was agreed upon to do a one step polish to brighten up the paint and a double coat of Americoat. He had just had it undercoated and the paint was left looking a mess as you can see below:





















The wheels were in real nice shape!








The wheels were given a wash with Zep Citrus for the faces and barrels which was followed by a hand wash using a wash mitt and DG 901.

The tires were cleaned with Zep 505.


The truck was hand washed using DG 901 which was followed by a second hand wash using IronX.

It was then clayed using a Speedy Prep towel.


The paint and chrome was polished using a Flex 3401 + white B/S pad + Ameridepth. There were some scratches in the box that I attended to with my Rupes 21 + M205 + Megs mf disc then with the other step.

All the paint, glass and trim were given a double coat of Americoat. The windshield was given a double coat of Fly By 30. Here it is all done:

Really beautiful work you did, looks fantastic. Paint really looks level, smooth, and like black glass in your after pics

About $70K+ I'm guessing.

One thing I wish the factorys would finally get away from in this modern day and age, is those "bang on balancing weights" on the wheels. That by the time the owner will need new tires, those weights will have done their telltale damage but good.

Yup, when they install those weights they damage the clear coat and then the salt can find its way in over the winter and oxidize the wheels really fast. Game over...
