Nice work on the headlights but I would be really careful with duct tape on paint ... some of that tape is really sticky and could leave a bad residue or even, if you were really unlucky, pull up chunk of paint! It's unlikely ... but to be safe I would use masking tape.

I don't know about Made in China duct tape, because all the products I use are Made in Switzerland, UK, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Japan, Scandinavia, USA...& such scary thing like removing car paint with the Chinese glue residue from the tape simply can not happen to me.
Here is drill by Kress Elektrowerkzeuge Made in Germany/Switzerland, tape with very high quality but soft glue + very easy to remove that doesn't leave any residue Made in Germany & OLFA knife Made in Japan.
Xerapol Plastic Polish also Made in Germany & Formula1Wax Headlight Restorer & Sealant Made in USA.
I tried Formula1Wax first time here & highly recommend it because it's very, very easy to restore headlights with it. In most cases no machine polishing will be needed, if there is no scratches just yellowed headlights or not heavily oxidized, all you need is microfiber & few drops of Formula1Wax Headlight Restorer&Sealant. Xerapol costs 10EUR for 50 grams, Formula1Wax I see in USA cost 6$ for 237ml and if this would be a test, I would throw Xerapol to the garbage. Here I used it only as a finishing product (which was good), though E.V.I. GmbH who produce Xerapol say it is plastic polish magic, it is not.

Why not to say big thanks to Eli my friend, he forwards to me all his friends & they all have elegant cars like my new friend Lior who wanted today to restore headlights & remove scratches from door handles.
When I look back now I , I moved from few hours to get headlight clear to one minute today. Soon I hope it will take me only 1 hour to perfectly detail cars inside/out (but even today when I start/stop detailing any new/classic car takes +-8-12 hours on average & including all breaks I make it's like 4 hours of real work, everything else is relax style
So here we go Sharkpolitur execution for Lexus GS 450h ( 140,000$ car in Israel, even more cash than LS 600h in Honolulu ) Starfire Pearl paint finish is a killer, till now only AMG Designo came with something close to it Diamond White. Lexus LS is still Numero Uno luxury car for me, followed by Jaguar XJR, Panamera (here Porsche is kicking in the teeth new Mercedes S 63 AMG as they are crappy, full of faults like water in the headlights, bad leather stitching, terribly tuned engines that simply hesistate to accelerate after gas kick & got mini brake disks on back wheels, add to that all 63AMG are motor oil hungry & if not taken care every few thousand miles they simply die, looks like AMG got only 65AMG engines left which are good same like all 65AMG quality inside/out).
After over 200,000km Lior says there was no repairs whatsoever only now headlights & some other small cosmetics work, car goes like new, feels like new, looks like new & I totally agree with his Pursuit for Perfection.
I wanted to give Lior my business card (but he & says Eli already gave me one & shows it to me) which is very rare as I avoid garbage personality contacts & only people I like & who think the same can get my business card.

My good friend Ofir visits by to restore his very cool & fast Mercedes-Benz SLK 350 headlights (he is also very eager to detail his silver roadster but each time I say it looks like new but once I seen his lights today I know that clear coat basically is in the same condition & is hiding a lot of reflective shine & liquididity potential so we'll speak about it later for sure )
Here we go Sharkpolitur polyplexicarboplast headlights restoration system (for my friends I use better quality products than for the rest, not because the chemistry is more expensive, simply I pack it nicer & mix more precizely plus in the end I use nano polymer/wax spray & only clean microfibers)
And of course few finishing touches, all my friends finish in exctasy when I polish their chrome plated plastics so carfully, you must see Ofir's face this moment, I am sure if suddenly angel or demon would ask: Your girlfriend or Sharky answer fast...he would scream Sharky!
I go to buy some drinks for us, what you prefer Sharky.

P.S. Few words about Mercedes SLK 350 & fecelift, I accept this driving machines they are very good quality inside/out also 3.5L V6 engine is very good for a small car like this, all performance characteristics are very good same as for Mercedes C 350 for example. In this size it's super cars & on the opposite C 180 or E 350 not to mention S class 350 is totally stupid autos for ill minded individuals, it's better to walk than own in S class 350, I am resuming that if C only 350 (63 AMG is too crazy for a no room inside cabin), SLK only 350 or AMG, E class minimum 400 normally 500, S class minimum 500 for the city driving.
And going further minimum for ML 500, GL only 63 AMG, CL 63/65, (A&B rather die same like CLS & CLA, GLA, GLC, GLE), SL only from 63 (before 55 AMG), SLS is SLS same like SLR then we have G minimum 63 or if 500 then cabriolet, this is my short Mercedes buying guide.
And who still remembers SLK 32 AMG & 55 AMG lately, amazing. Not strange Mercedes are relaunching SLC 43 AMG, Ofir's car when new in Israel cost 150,000$, I once detailed such car was a pleasure Mercedes SLK 350 polish, wax, sealant etc. by Sharkpolitur TLV, Israel
