    '89 911 Porsche

This is the car that got me into cars. Maybe not specifically the '89, but this exact body style on some sort of Porsche that I saw on a family vacation when I was a kid. I was blown away and wanted nothing more than to drive one. In fact, that is one of the strongest reasons I started detailing seriously nearly 20 years ago. I figured eventually I'd get to lay my hands on one of these beauties and maybe drive it a few feet. It is purely about the asthetics for me. This thing could have a two cycle engine in it and I'd still fall to pieces when I see one. It is just freaking gorgeous.

I wish I had more before pictures, but I don't seem to have those uploaded. I do have a few pictures from after a fairly extensive wet sanding project though. The owner has always been really happy with how it looked after I was done with it, but he wanted to take it a step further and see how perfect we could get it. I told him it could be done, but that it would likely require wet sanding and a lot of work. He seemed to be totally fine with lots of work, so he brought it over and we got started. I've never seen a better shine than when we were done!

I know... not the greatest pictures, but I thought I'd share one of the crown jewels of my detailing career with you. I started in this business to detail this car. Now that I've been detailing in for a year or two I can't say that my passion has dwindled even a little. I've got more cars on my detailing bucket list to do before I'm done, but this was a big one for me. I'm glad it came out so well. I'd like to get it in the sun and get some real pictures, but sometimes the rotation of the earth doesn't cooperate with me.

Beautiful work on that Porsche you can go for hours staring into the depth on that dark colored paintwork/clouds

Nice work. Just a suggestion, invest in a mechanics roller chair. Two reasons, 1) much easier on your back, 2) easier to get a good angle on the side panels and keep the polisher flat.

Yeah, I usually put the lid on my wash bucket and roll around that way. My friend Rob there wanted to try his hand with the Flex and hasn't learned the proper technique to save himself pain just yet.

Very Nice! I love the old 930's especially the far on the rear wheel wells. A friend of mine has (3) 930 turbos. One's a slant noise. After 25 years they still look great.
